Sierra Shakes is a nonprofit theater group (501c3) with a dual mission: to provide the community with high-quality theater free of charge, and to provide emerging theater artists who have completed their acting or technical training with a venue in which to perfect their craft. The company is comprised both of professional actors and recent graduates of theater conservatories across the country. Many are alumni of the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA).
Founded in early 2009 by Artistic Director Devon Armstrong, the company is now embarking on its fourth season in Sierra Madre.
